About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our employees, customers, and visitors by developing and implementing safety policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management and a passion for creating a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees and management
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain safety records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement emergency response plans
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in safety management
  • Should be versed in DOT, FMCSA and DVIR regulations; familiar with DQ files and Hours of Service laws & regs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
