Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and evaluating financial data related to the company’s expenses, with the primary goal of identifying areas in which the organization can reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. The incumbent will support the Finance department by providing reporting, assistance with project management, and other analysis for both internal and external customers. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for measuring, managing, and analyzing metrics related to the organization, making recommendations where appropriate to increase the effectiveness of processes and policies, based on in-depth analysis and thorough understanding of existing processes. 

Financial Analyst Job Duties:

• Provides financial analysis and helps support ongoing operational initiatives. 
• Conducts financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. 
• Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary. 
• Develops and maintains key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track financial performance. 
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for financial analysis. 
• Identifies trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in financial performance.      
• Assists in the development of the annual budget and long-term financial plans. 
• Supports ad-hoc financial analysis projects as needed. 
• Presents financial findings and recommendations to leadership. 
• Supports month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and analysis. 
• May process accounts payable and accounts receivable, as needed. 
• Assists with tax preparation and audits. 
• May reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements, as needed. 
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
